Wheatland Funeral Home Ltd. is a privately owned and operated company which was incorporated in November of 1983, beginning its operation on January 15, 1984 at Strathmore, a town located near Calgary, Alberta.

The owners, Francis Van Bussel and his wife, Lynn, have had the honour of serving Strathmore and area since the conception of Wheatland Funeral Home Ltd.

Living and operating a business in a smaller town has been rewarding for us in many ways. Clients are not just clients, in most cases they are friends. The mutual caring and sharing of families we serve has allowed us to create a relationship beyond just the business of providing a service – one that experiences, with understanding, the trials and tribulations families face when dealing with a death. We have learned over the years just how important and how special it is to be called a friend rather than just a “funeral director”. For this, we are truly thankful to the people of Wheatland County and surrounding area.
